Kenny Powers Jr.

Had A great meal at Terra tonight in Columbia. First was the braised rabbit with three cheese agnolotti with with mushrooms and broccoli rabe. The bar tender insisted on calling this Rapini, but whatever he had a Jr mullet and a bit of a Kenny Powers attitude which was entertaining and needed in Columbia. The pizza was topped with duck confit and port cherries. Personally, this is a waste of port, I'd use fresh cherries. Anyhow freaking awesome meal for Columbia with tons of other options I'll be taking down in the near future. Thanks K Powers Jr. I'm 'fing out.

Quail from Motor Supply

Only good thing about this dish was the Quail. Well, the glass of J Lohr Petit Sarah was pretty good too.

Roasted grouper

Taking advantage of a rare night at home. This is a grouper steamed in parchment paper with roast tomatoes and zucchini. A keen eye might spot some fresh thyme and a mortar and pestle that ground up some coriander seeds for seasoning with some lemons underneath. Best of all, I grew them all in my garden! There is also an iPad charger in the background, just sayin.

Haven't blogged in a day or two, but that doesn't mean I haven't been eating some good ass food. I've perfected the Mint Julip and learned make a killer fresh tomato sauce since my last post. It's hard finding anything good to eat in Columbia SC that isn't fried okra, but stay tuned and I'll keep you up to date on what's worth eating there. Going to NYC next week too so watch out for those food porn posts. Got tiered of blogging for awhile, but ready to food out for a little while so stay tuned...

Finally back

Got my computer charger back that I left at my parent's house over Christmas.  Time to start eating again.  Actually, I've had some pretty good stuff in the meantime including chocolate dipped bacon, broccoli rabe orecchiette, Gougeres, some awesome stouts, and Hudson's in Columbia, and about 60 lattes.
